FSU’s Quarterback Carousel

This is ridiculous.  I knew that following FSU’s crushing loss to Miami that the quarterback controversy would rear its ugly head.  I did not anticipate that the coaching staff would make another change so quickly.  Xavier Lee is on the bench (again) and Drew Weatherford is the starting QB (again) for the ‘Noles upcoming game against Duke. 

I do not understand this decision as neither Lee or Weatherford are the long term answer for FSU.  While both of them have shown an inability to get it done on the field switching back and forth is not the answer in my opinion.  Drew had his shot and could not get it done so then Lee was called upon.  Lee has struggled but at least has a strong arm and the possibility of a big play. 

This latest move is gutless and reaffirms the facts that they do not have the confidence of the staff behind them.  If a move to bench Lee was made it should have been to give one of the young guys a chance.  FSU should set it sights on rebuilding and stomach the tough road ahead.  Making a change so we beat Duke and maybe Marlyland without giving Ponder or Richardson experience does not make any sense.
