Capital Volvo’s Customer Service Stinks
This morning we dropped Becks car off at the dealership for an oil change. The change oil message that comes on in her Volvo can only be reset by the dealer. This infuriates me because I know the only reason for this is so I spend more money at the dealership. I would rather change the oil myself (it takes maybe 15 minutes to do) and save some money.
Anyway, we dropped it off at 7:50 a.m. and I asked if they could have it ready by 3:00 p.m. The service guy said no problem and that he would give me a call when it was ready. Sure enough, around 3:00 p.m. I got a call to come and pick up the car. I got Becks and drove to the Volvo place on Tennessee Street. We paid for the service ($70.00! Crooks!) and went to get the car. Becks inspected it and was dissatisfied. Inside the car was a mess and you could tell they did not wash it like they are supposed to. For $70.00 we expected more and she went in and complained. The service manager (from Capital City Euro Car who was filling in at the Volvo place was very professional) gave her a free oil change the next time we service the car.
If it was a one time thing I do not think we would have minded as much, but with Capital Volvo in Tallahassee this was par for the course. The dealership is run by a bunch of clowns. From taking forever to complete an oil change (I was the first one there one morning at 7:00 a.m. and it took two hours) to trying to substitute a different car for the one I purchased (After I bought and signed for it they later called me and told me it had been sold to another person), to doing things half-heartedly on a consistent basis (forgetting to vacuum, wash the car and getting grease inside on the mats), they earn very low marks in the customer service category. We love our little S40 but that is the last vehicle we ever buy from Capital Volvo in Tallahassee.

$70 for an oil change? Sounds criminal.
It is criminal! I change my own oil for about $15.00. Ridiculous!
