Singing Through the Tears
I was reading Howards End last night when Becks turned on the television to watch the result show for American Idol. I cannot stand the results show of American Idol and as the season goes on they become more and more tedious. The worst is the final one which usually balloons into two hours of miserableness. Fortunately, Becks will not watch the entire show but instead switches channels strategically so she sees only the results.
As I was reading about Mr. Wilcox proposing to Margaret Schlegel hopes were being dashed in front of a national audience. The four performers who were sent home were, Jason Yeager (what was with the bleached stripe in the front of his hair?), Alexandrea Lushington, Robbie Carrico (nice skull dew rag) and Alaina Whitaker. I felt bad for Alaina who broke down in tears when her name was announced. She pulled herself together and with the help of her fellow American Idol contestants sang her way off the show. It was rather depressing watching her all red faced and teary eyed sing moments after her dream had been crushed.
After American Idol was over I brought in the plants from the front porch since the temperature is supposed to dip into the 20’s tonight. My purple coneflowers have not started to poke up through the soil yet, and I am a little concerned the 6 inches of rain we got last week has ruined their chances. I hope they do germinate since when they are full grown, they will be absolutely beautiful in our front flower bed. This weekend I plan on planting some more flower seeds, but so far my green thumb is not working too well.

I like Danny Noriega. He brings some drama and humor to the show if nothing else. The girl pants kill me! And I think the stripe in Jason Yeager’s hair is a birth mark. My brother had a friend with a discolored spot in his hair like that and he was born with it. Just my two cents.
To me, Danny Noriega is this years Sanjayia. I just hope he does not stick around as long, but that is just my feeling on him.
I think that Jason dyed his hair rather than it being a birthmark. But really, who knows!
Thanks for the comment!
