Unexpected Visitors

Yesterday afternoon the phone rang and it was Dustin. He said that they were driving back from Callahan and wanted to see if Becks and I wanted to have dinner with his parents, wife and baby. We said yes and waited for them to arrive.
As we waited we frantically began to clean the house. Becks dealt with the laundry, bedroom and bathroom while I neatened up the kitchen, swept the floors, changed the litter box and took out the garbage. We are good speed cleaners and by the time they arrived the house was in order.
We have not seen Robin, Joe, Rachel, Dustin and Serenity since Easter of 2005. A quick explanation of the family; Robin is Becks’ cousin on her momma’s side while Joe is Becks’ cousin on her dad’s side. Dustin is their son, and Rachel is his wife. Serenity is the newest memeber of the family and is only 18 months old (Willie liked her the best). They all live over in Panama City and always make a point of giving us a call when they are passing through Monticello.
It was nice catching up with them and for dinner we went to the only place in town not closed on a Sunday afternoon, Pizza Hut. We had a good time and they invited us to go scalloping with them in Panama City once the season opens in July. I really hope we can make it over there because it would be a lot of fun to spend a day out on the water with them.
