Our First Sonogram of Baby #2

This morning we headed to North Florida Women’s Care for our first monthly appointment.  Unlike our first monthly appointment for Mason we knew exactly where to go and where to park.  After waiting for a few minutes in the waiting area and playing around with my iPod touch we were called back.  The nurse asked Becks if she was having any complications and then weighed her.

We were then led into a small examination room to wait for Dr. Friall to arrive.  She walked in a few minutes later with a big smile on her face.  She greeted us both and was happy to see us again although she did not think it would be so soon.  Dr. Friall examined Becks and then turned off the light so we could get a good view of the first picture of our new baby.

The screen flicked for a few moments until sitting in the middle of the screen was our little baby! It was sitting with its back towards us moving its little hands and feet around.  Dr. Friall positioned herself for a better view and after some coaxing was able to get a shot from the front.  Dr. Friall printed a couple of pictures off for us and told us that the heartbeat was 170 bpm.  She also said that things were right on schedule and that Becks was 11 1/2 week pregnant based on her measurements.

It was amazing seeing our baby for the first time and hearing its heartbeat. I am really excited that in about 28 weeks we will have a new baby in our home. We are so blessed!
