Marketing in Orlando

June 17, 2010

Tom and I went to Orlando today to market two clients.  He picked me up a little after 7:00 a.m., and despite a traffic jam on the Florida Turnpike met up with our clients for lunch on time at Sam Snead’s Tavern. I had a great fish sandwich with grilled vegetables and it was good to catch up with our friends.

Later that evening we met up with a second group of clients for happy hour at Miller’s Orlando Ale House.  We ordered a few appetizers, had a couple of beer and talked about everything from the Gulf oil spill to the NBA Finals.

We were there for a couple of hours and after saying our goodbyes headed for home.  Tom and I stopped off in Gainesville for gas and a Dunkin Donuts coffee.  This is the closet D&D to Tallahassee and I was not about to pass up a chance to grab a cup.  As usual the coffee was excellent and made me wish we had one closer to home.

The rest of the trip was uneventful except for some heavy rains near Live Oak and Lee.  Despite hitting these head on I made it home by 9:30 p.m. just in time to feed Julia a bottle.
