Miss Julia is 5 Months Old

October 3, 2010

Juila turned 5 months old today! This past month flew by and she is growing up so fast. She is trying her best to sit up but does not quite have the hang of it yet. She also wants to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees with her butt in the air and rocks back in forth.  So far her attempts to scoot forward have been unsuccessful, but I am sure she will be mobile very soon.

Our baby girl has been over the baby swing for sometime and this week decided that the bouncy seat was no longer her friend.  Instead, she prefers to hang out in the bouncy swing we hung in the doorway between our bedroom and the kitchen. It is very cute to watch her bouncy around and giggle. Mason also likes to “help” her in the swing by spinning her around in circles.

We also added delicious wall paper paste rice cereal to her diet.  She has some for breakfast at Ms. Cherrie’s house and than some in her bottle before going to sleep.  Most of the time she sleep through the night, although every now and then she’ll wake up at 3:00 a.m. for a snack.

Finally, she is cutting her first tooth! It is coming in on the bottom right hand side. Becks and I can fell it underneath the skin.  We have been giving her baby Tylenol for the pain. Julia has been drooling a lot and sleeping a ton.  This weekend she slept for over 13 hours.  When she woke up she was all smiles, cooed and wanted a huge 10 ounce bottle.

nice! mine are 2 and 6 now; both are growing teeth but at different stages. nice to read about, great memories. the food we have to feed kids is not so great and its a whole lot worse on the other side. i tried to stick with fruits and veggies as much as possible and then they both got completely attached to mac and cheese. there is not an e-mail or contact for you that i can find. is there a way to ask you questions about your blog other than commenting?
    thanks.
