Halloween 2010

October 31, 2010

The King and our little pup.

Tonight was Mason’s 2nd Halloween and Miss Julia’s 1st! Becks bought Mason an Elvis costume direct from Graceland. After pinning up the legs we got him dressed complete with belt, red bandana, aviator sunglasses and a microphone.  Mason is a little ham and he loved walking around the house while we took pictures of him.  He thought the microphone was a hair brush and it was funny watching him shake his booty as he combed his hair.

Elvis is alive!

Miss Julia went as a puppy dog.  We recycled the costume from last year when Mason wore it.  She is a little smaller than he was at this time last year but still made an adorable little dog.  Becks added some whiskers and a black nose to distinguish her from a cow.  The only thing she refused to wear after pictures was the hat.  We tried to keep it on her, but she was not having it.

This puppy dog is not for sale.

Our street had very little Halloween spirit so we drove over to Holly Hills.  We parked at one end of the subdivision and made our way to each house that had its light on.  We stopped to see one of the little boys from day care and ran into our friends Tyler and Jenny with their two little girls.  Mason walked to each house and by the time we got home the King was tuckered out.  He had kept his sunglasses on the entire time and never put down his microphone for a second.  Instead of struggling to get him to bed he went without a fight and was out minutes after I put him down. He had a great Halloween and we had so much fun taking both of them around town!

Your kid’s costumes are great…classic. Especially Elvis. What a great idea!
