Taco Night

January 28, 2011

I got home from work and did not feel like cooking.  Becky suggested we have tacos and I agreed that it sounded like a good idea.  I put some shoes on Mason and whisked down to Winn Dixie to grab a package of ground chuck, some tortilla chips and salsa.  Mason was very well-behaved in Winn Dixie and got a sticker from the cashier.

When we got home we put the meat on and cut up some toppings.  Jules sat in her high chair and played in a pile of apple sauce.  She got about 1/2 in her mouth and the other half all over the tray and chair.  She was happy and having a good time.

Once the meat was done I made out plates.  Mason had a new “Cars” plate he got from Fred’s.  Becky was getting cleaning products and he spotted it.  He would not give it up.  Mason ate a pile of meat, tomatoes, and cheese.  He tried the lettuce and onions but was not very fond of them.

We really need to have taco night on a weekly basis.  It is a very fast, and easy meal that is pretty tasty.  I am not a fan of the taco seasoning out of the package, but I am happy that Mason ate a good meal and avoided snacking on other things.
