Halloween Costumes and a Burlap Wreath

September 10, 2011

This afternoon was a scene right out of Old School.  Not the one where they have a crazy party at their fraternity house but the one where Will Ferrell’s character has a packed afternoon of running errands with the family.

Becky, the kids and I went to Old Navy to get some fall clothes for Miss Julia.  While we were walking around we found the cutes Halloween costumes for the kids.  Miss Julia is going to go as a cupcake and Mason is going to go as a shark.  After Old Navy we hunted for supplies to make a wreath.  Becky picked up some burlap, a foam core and some ribbon at Hobby Lobby.

While listening to the Seminoles whoop Charleston Southern on the radio we all made the wreath on the living room floor.  I cut the burlap while Becky tied it onto the wreath and made it look pretty.  In under an hour she made a nice fall looking wreath for our front door.  Mason had fun helping us and playing with the scraps of material.
