Not Quite a Steak, But Not Too Shabby

A couple weeks ago I went in for some blood work.  This week the doctor’s office called to let me know my cholesterol was a little high.  They told me I should be able to get it under control with some changes to my eating habits and an increase in exercise.  This meant less red meat and more walking.  Nothing too drastic, but a change nonetheless.

Today I picked up some steaks for Becky and her momma.  I got them some pretty ribeyes and saw a t-bone that caught my eye.  Instead of picking it up, I opted for some wild Alaskan salmon.

I gave it a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper before putting it on the grill.  It cooked up fairly quickly and while the ladies enjoyed their well done steak I sampled my salmon.  It was very good and I did not miss the steak.
