Brewsday Tuesday: Blind Faith

August 28, 2012

Found this little fella at the bottom of the fridge.  He was the last of a Summer Mix Pack I grabbed some time ago.  I glanced at my blog and noticed I had not reviewed this beer.  Might as well do it tonight.  Prost!

Name: Blind Faith

Brewed by: Magic Hat Brewing Company

Location: Burlington, VT

Style/ABV: English India Pale Ale / 6.2%

Appearance: Pours a medium copper color with orange-ish tint.  A two finger pale cream head fades leaving a thin ring around the glass.

Smell: Sweet notes dominate the smell with a wisp of flowery hops in the background.

Taste: Sweet biscuit malts with some citrus hop notes at the end. Not overly complex and fairly tame for an IPA, even an English one.

Mouthfeel: Medium with medium carbonation.

Overall: This was the last of the beers to be exhausted from the Summer Mix Pack and I now know why.  It is not a bad beer. It’s just meh. I don’t think I’ll be seeking this one out again.

Final Grade: C
