2012 Revenge Tour: FSU 52 Wake Forest 0

September 15, 2012

Florida State opened ACC play today with a 52-0 lashing of Wake Forest.  Leading up to this game Seminole fans were reminded the Demon Deacons have won four of the past six meetings, and last year’s debacle on the road in Winston-Salem.  The Seminoles were favored by 28 points, but there was still consternation in the fan base.  Any doubts were soon erased as FSU boat raced Wake Forest.  Our defense was smothering. Our running backs wily.  Our play calling spot on. It was ugly, and if not for the smack talking of @DeacsRecruiting I would have felt bad for the whipping their guys were taking.  I did not, however, and watched with glee as Jim Grobe slumped on the far sideline.  It was a great start to FSU’s 2012 Revenge Tour, and I hope it continues next weekend against Clemson.

Ugh. Since my brother-in-law teaches law at Wake (and is an alum), we were in misery during this game. And it was insult to injury since Wake beat Carolina (my alma mater) the week before. (Clearly they were not worthy.) I’m just warning you, I might be cheering for Clemson next week! 😉

Sitting through it on the other end would not have been pleasant! C’mon, since UNC is having a down year you have to pull for the ‘Noles! 🙂
