After watching Cinderalla for the first time, Miss Julia knew what she was going to be for Halloween. Becky bought her a beautiful Cinderella dress complete with a necklace, crown, and light blue plastic shoes. Before heading out, Becky put a little make-up on her. When she strolled into the living room she was so proud. She had a big smile on her face and looked precious. “I Cinderelly!” she exclaimed when she saw me.
Little man on the other hand is a creature of habit. Despite our best efforts to get him to pick out a new costume he wanted to be a shark for the second year in a row. Eventually we relented, and this evening Mason stalked the streets of Monticello in his shark costume. I am happy we bought it big.
Miss Julia and Mason walked around our little neighborhood. Sadly, with it being a Wednesday night the majority of people were not home. We did visit a couple of neighbor’s homes and Miss Julia was excited to go up to each one and ask for candy. Mason was a little more reserved, but enjoyed seeing his bag fill-up.
By the end of the night we had strolled up Pearl Street, and also went to a couple of house west of the Courthouse. The kids had a great time, and it was a lot of fun to watch them enjoy their Halloween.
