FSU Defeats Virginia Tech 28-22

November 8, 2012

I had a Jefferson County Planning Board meeting that somehow concluded before kickoff.  My friend Kirk stopped by to watch the second half.  We drank a few beers and waited for the bottom to fall out of FSU’s season.  Things looked pretty grim as the Noles gave up a safety and then a field goal to go down 22-20.

With less than a minute left in the game E.J. Manuel found Rashad Greene for a 39-yard game winning touchdown.  As he crossed the goal line we hopped from our seats, let out a hell yeah and gave each other a high five. I am pretty sure similar scenes took place all over the greater Tallahassee region.

Moments later, Logan Thomas threw a pick to seal the victory for the ‘Noles. Things are now looking good for FSU to play for the ACC Championship and go to a BCS Bowl.

I was pretty surprised; we do not play well on the road. Was happy to see some of my former students make big plays.
