Tis the Season

December 23, 2012

Tonight we packed up the kids and headed out to look at Christmas lights. We made a quick stop at Dunkin Donuts for some coffee, hot chocolate and treats before making out way to Dorothy B. Oven Park. We drove through the park a few years ago, but tonight was the first time we got out and walked through the display. It was beautiful and the little ones were in awe.

With Dorothy B. Oven Park in our rearview mirror we headed towards north Tallahassee on Meridian Road. Our friend told us we had to see a house on Sally Lane full of inflatable Christmas decorations. We rounded the corner and were greeted by a giant snowman, Santa Claus and numerous other Christmas characters. The kids were in awe. I was impressed, and could only imagine his neighbors must celebrate the end of the holidsay season.

Heading back towards Monticello two houses caught our eyes. The first was located off of Bannerman Road. It was impressive.

The second was located off of Crump Road just before the intersection with U.S. 90. The entire neighborhood was actually lit up, but this house was the cream of the crop.

We had a great time driving around, checking out the lights and listening to Christmas music, and I am really looking forward to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
