The Park and Lunch with the McNeills

January 17, 2013

Sunday morning was beautiful.  Blue skies blanketed North Florida and it was unseasonably warm.  Instead of spending the morning inside I decided to take the kids to the Pearl Street Park.  On the way over I called my buddy Tyler to see if he wanted to meet us with his three little girls.  He agreed and we met them at his house before making the short walk to the park.

The kids had fun playing on the swings, running around the Gazebo, playing on the playground, and checking out the exercise equipment.  With the kids getting tired and hungry Jenny asked if Mason and Jules wanted to eat lunch with the little Hens. I agreed and while they snacked on chicken nuggets and juice Tyler and I chatted about fantasy baseball and other dad topics.

It was a nice afternoon and I enjoyed hanging out with some fellow parents.  A dose of non-work adult interaction in a nice thing, and I hope we can get together soon to let the kids run themselves into a nap.
