I got home from work and once the car was packed we headed towards the Land of the Mouse.  It was our first trip to Disney, and the drive down went smoothly as both kids were well behaved.  Becky booked us at the new Art of Animation hotel and the kids were in awe as soon as we pulled into the parking lot.  Our room was in the Cars area of the hotel which was made to look like the Cozy Cone Motel from the first movie.  Mason and Julia ran from life size character to life size character as Becky and I snapped pictures.

After dropping things off in our Cars themed room, we walked around the rest of the hotel.  The main pool was decorated in a Finding Nemo theme, while the other two areas were done in Lion King and Little Mermaid themes.  Miss Julia kept saying “woooowwww” every time she saw something new and amazing while Mason took it all in and ran about after being cooped up in the car for four hours.

By the time we got back to the room the kids were on stipulation overload.  We finally got them to sleep after 10 o’clock in a Mater themed Murphy bed that pulled out of the wall.  They thought this was super cool and drifted off to sleep to the overhead glow of the neon light.
