Sparkly shoes!

Miss Julia turned three today! Our little girl is growing up so fast. We woke her up this morning and gave her some presents.  I picked up a balloon and some flowers for her while Becky got her some sparkly pink shoes, princess hat and bubbles.  She was so cute opening them and had a huge smile on her face.

Jules, Poppy, and Mommy

Poppy showed up before we left for school and gave her a cupcake from Tupelos.  Miss Julia insisted on wearing her new shoes to big girl school, but they were a bit big.  She settled for her sparkly sandals and brought her birthday balloon.  She skipped into school with the balloon in tow and exclaimed it was her birthday as soon as she walked in the door.

They luff each other

Later that evening when we got home from work and school we had a little family birthday party for Miss Julia with cake and ice cream.  She had some trouble blowing out her birthday candles, but Mason was more than happy to help out.  We also gave her a ballerina outfit and some ballerina shoes.  Our little girl is loved and she had a very good birthday!

Some quick thoughts on Miss Julia at three:

  • She is very opinionated when it comes to her clothes. She likes some things and dislikes others.  Her current favorites items to wear are pink bows, her sneakers that light up (from Granddaddy), and her ballerina outfit.
  • I love how she talks. Her favorites phrases are “O’tay” (Okay) and I luff it! (I love it.) Too cute.
  • She is an adventurous eater! She usually will try things at least once.  Her current favorite foods are broccoli, apples, Chik-Fil-A nuggets, and blueberries.
  • Miss Julia has rhythm! She loves to dance and I cannot wait to see how she takes Thomasville Ballet Company by storm this summer.
  • Her favorite color is pink.
  • Her favorite book is Pinkalicious.
  • She loves to draw with chalk and swing on her play set.
  • She carries her heart blankey around everywhere. Maintaining its location is of the utmost importance.
  • She misses her Meme. A lot.
  • She is super excited to be a shark
  • She is finally potty trained!
