Florida Folk Festival

May 26, 2013

Way down upon the Suwannee River…

In late Spring on the banks of the Suwanee River rural Hamilton County hosts the Florida Folk Festival.  Presenters from around the state come to sing, dance, and show off traditional crafts.  After the kids were dress we made the hour drive to White Springs.  Parking was a breeze and then we made our way to the various stages.  We watched traditional dancers, listened to a story teller, and watched Miss Julia dance to fiddle music.  An ice cream during the afternoon kept us cool, and before we headed home checked out the old Spring House.
